Rogue in armor standing by an NPC

The beauty of World of Warcraft is being able to connect with friends from all over the world. However, if you are in a different region (EU vs. the US) gifting to your friend or family member can be tough. There is a way to gift cross-region.

If you are in the US region, like myself, and want to gift to someone in the EU region then it might be a little trickier. You can not just go to your battle.net site though. If you are EU then to gift someone on the US region, you would need to go to the US version of the site, and vice versa. The EU Region site can be found here.

Battle.net Website, US Region

Now that you are on the website, choose your gift that you would like to gift your friend. You will notice if you do not have an EU region account and you go to gift to a friend who does, then you will not be given the option to select from your Blizzard app friends. However, you will need to enter their email address instead.

Choosing a friend

Your final step is to checkout and pay for the gift! Then your friend gets the email and enjoys your gift! This is especially helpful for gifting your favorite content creators gifts even if they are in a different region from you.

  1. Great choice of topic. With the upcoming Shadowlands expansion there will be a lot of people buying the expansion or
month subscriptions for their friends across the sea.
