Dragonflight Pre-Orders Available

We have all been anticipating and waiting for an announcement on a Dragonflights pre-order or even a release date. The release date is on or before December 31, 2022. The expected release date for Dragonflight is not quite in time for Christmas, but maybe a late Christmas present for yourself or a friend/family member. There are different editions, as usual, each with its own perks. You have the base edition, heroic, and epic edition of the expansion pack.

There is a pet that you get as a pre-order bonus, the Drakks pet. However, this offer for that pet will end when Dragonflight goes live, so if you want that pet you best get it now. The expansion requires you to already have the Shadowlands expansion. The items and character boost will not be available in the classic versions of warcraft.

If you choose to buy the heroic edition now, and then in the future, you take the epic upgrade you will not be granted the rewards you already received. This means you can not use that to get 2 character boosts. However, you will receive rewards you did not already receive like the transmog wings.

System Requirements

With every new expansion, there is a chance that you might need to upgrade your computer. The minimum requirements require Windows 7, a Direct X 12 capable GPU with at least 3 GB memory. One major change is this time around they are requiring the SSD as a minimum storage device vs. the standard hard drive. You need a 4-core processor, 4th gen intel or AMD Ryzen or better, 8 GB RAM, and the resolution is the same as the standard 1280 x 720. This does not touch the recommended specifications.

Pre-order Differences

Let’s look at the differences here. The base edition will give you Dragonflight, available at launch, Drakks Pet as Dragonflight pre-order bonus item, all-new races, and The Dracythry Evoker (which will be available at or before launch). The Heroic Edition will give you everything from the Base edition, but you also get a character boost to level 60, the tangled Dreamweaver flying mount, murkastrasza pet. If you choose to purchase the Epic Edition you get everything from the Heroic Edition, and Base edition, with a couple of other extras as well.

The extras you will get are the Timewalker’s Hearthstone Effect, Diadem of the Spell-Keeper Head-Slot Transmog, Wings of Awakening Back-slot Transmog in 5 Color Variants. To top it all off, the epic edition will also give you 30 days of Game Time.

What We Know

Just to touch base and give a brief summary, Dragonflight brings a whole new exclusive class and race. We have only heard about Dragon Isles in some situations, especially with Wrathion looking for it, however, now we will get to explore it. A new level cap is introduced allowing us to level to 70.

What edition will you be getting? We’ve asked before, but what are you most excited about with the upcoming expansion? Let us know in the comments below, we’d love to hear from you.
