Most people who play World of Warcraft know that dungeon leveling is the fastest way to level, but not everyone knows the best way to get the most out of the dungeon finder system. You’ve got to have a dungeon strategy in order to make the most out of each and every run, and it doesn’t hurt to have a dungeon leveling guide to help you, either.
Developing Your Dungeon Strategy
The best way to develop your own WoW dungeon strategy is to get a complete understanding of the system, how it works, and why dungeon leveling is the fastest way to go. Dungeon leveling basically involves leveling your character by running chains of dungeons with other players. It’s easier than ever to do this because of the dungeon finder tool, which was part of patch 3.3 under the Wrath of the Lich King Expansion. The dungeon finder allows you to party with players from other servers, even during your server’s off times.
Developing your dungeon strategy depends at least partly on what type of class you are. The damage classes will have to wait in line much longer than healing and tanking classes, so it’s certainly worth it to solo quest while you’re waiting for your dungeon group to form. Tanks, on the other hand, may be able to walk in and out of dungeons all day long because there are far fewer tanks than there are DPS classes. Healers are also in high demand, although usually not quite as much as tanks.
Don’t Forget Your Dungeon Quests
No dungeon strategy is complete with a plan for dungeon quests. This is one of the most important parts of dungeon leveling, but it’s often the most forgotten. Dungeon quests offer you double the experience of the quests you do solo because they’re considered to be a lot more difficult. Every dungeon in World of Warcraft have quests that can be done inside of it, although some dungeons only offer quests for either Alliance or Horde characters. Doing just one dungeon quest is like doing two solo quests, so it’s well worth your time to figure out which quests go with which dungeon.
Thankfully, there is now a dungeon leveling guide created specifically for those who want to take advantage of this new way to power level. Dugi’s Dungeon Leveling Guide covers everything from where to find the quests that go with each dungeon to where to turn them in. The guide even takes into account the fact that you can’t use the dungeon finder until your character reaches level 15. It has all the qualities of the traditional leveling guide in addition to the new information you need to know about dungeon leveling.
Instance leveling is a great way to bring your character from level 1 to 80 with much less time and effort than it took in the beginning days of WoW. You’ll find yourself hopping from dungeon to dungeon and level to level with ease.

Blizzard completely changed World of Warcraft by adding the dungeon finder. Dungeon leveling is now the fastest way to get to level 90, and it can leave some WoW players wondering exactly how to do it in the most effective way. On the surface, dungeon leveling seems to be pretty cut and dry. Just queue up for a dungeon and run through it with the party selected for you by the dungeon finder. However, there are several tips and tricks to maximizing your leveling experience that you can only find in a dungeon leveling guide. Dugi’s Dungeon Leveling Guide is one of the first leveling guides to utilize the dungeon method, and here are a few of the tips you’ll find explained more detail in it.
The Basic Technique of Dungeon Leveling
As with anything on World of Warcraft, there is a certain technique required to use the dungeon finder effectively. DPS classes will want to make sure they still travel around the map and complete solo quests while they are waiting for their dungeon group. This will ensure that they continue to level while waiting for the dungeon group because the wait for a DPS member is often quite long.
Tanks and healers may be able to get away with doing few, if any, solo quests. The wait time for tanks and healers is much shorter than it is for DPS because fewer players want to choose the responsibility of healing or tanking for a group. For every nine DPS players, you may only have one or two tanks, which is why the line for DPS players is so long.
Complete Maps for all the Lower Level Dungeons
When Blizzard first created World of Warcraft, they didn’t see fit to include maps of all the lower level dungeons. This is especially annoying because those dungeons are a lot longer and more winding than most of the level 80 dungeons. You really have to know where you’re going in these lower level dungeons, which is a major problem because most players have never played them. However, thanks to Dugi’s Dungeon Leveling Guide, you’ll be able to find your way through with the in-game maps. Leveling with the dungeon finder is a lot easier when you have maps to help you find your way.
Locations of all the Dungeon Quests
Another important feature of a dungeon leveling guide is the listing of all the dungeon quests. The best way to maximize the amount of experience you earn from every single instance run is by completing the quests for them, but sometimes it can be very difficult trying to figure out where to pick up the quests. In fact, some of these dungeon quests have prerequisite quests which much be completed on your own before you can be eligible to even accept the quests for the dungeons. A dungeon leveling guide will help you figure out where you need to go and what solo quests you need to complete before you can accept the dungeon quests.

Some players really enjoy tanking and see no problem in leveling their Warrior as a Protection Warrior. Shield Slam and Revenge do decent damage and also Shockwave is nice at later levels. If you want to speed up your leveling though, you should definitely explore the Fury talent tree. Two one-handed weapons should be used until you can equip two two-handed weapons.
I would advise you to at least first take Improved Charge in the Arms Tree. Then you can continue with 5% crit rating in the Fury tree and go on down from there. Aim to get Death Wish, Precision and Weapon Mastery asap so you don’t miss that often and Deathwish is a nice damage boost. Credit union location South Dakota Eagle Butte CR Community First Credit Union Flurry is extremely nice and after you take this ability you really get that ‘Rogue-in-plate’ feeling because you really make sushi out of your opponents.
Next in line is Blood Thirst which does not only do a great amount of damage, but also restores health over time. This ability is just great for leveling because it is one of the few life-giving abilities a Warrior has.
Now you will get to choose between some nice damage dealing abilities. Do move down in the tree though and pick up the remaining ones at later levels. Get Rampage as soon as possible, it is a great ability that boosts your damage significantly and only costs one talent point.
You can see that Blizzard wanted to improve the ever so useless Slam ability of the Warrior and you can see that they succeeded. You will have a 20% to instant cast Slam and its damage gets improved to. Whirlwind and Cleave as well get a damage boost in this three which makes the Warrior more capable to deal with multiple mobs at once.
Finally you got Titan’s Grip. Man did I love to see my Warrior looking ba%&$s with two two-handed weapons. Of course, it doesn’t only look great but it will also give you a whole different game play. Ok, you will need to get a lot of hit rating to make up for the hit rating loss but it is kinda cool that the Warrior, the weapon master that always could wield all weapons, can now wield two two-handed weapons instead of the Death Knights in example, which the words once spread before the release of WoTLK.

As a Mage you have some great advantages while leveling. Of course, many classes have their pros and cons but a Mage is great to level because he can make his own food and water, teleport to cities from one to another continent and is able to Blink which also Credit union location California Glendale California Adventist Federal Credit Union reduces run-time. As for the best leveling build, the opinions are divided. Some would swear with the Frost build because it is more mana efficient. I however, would go for a Fire/Arcane build for the simple reason that you take down the enemies faster and the Arcane tree will provide you with mana regeneration and more stats.
Lets first have a look at the full Fire talent tree though.
Mage Leveling Build: Fire
As a Fire Mage you can start attacking with either a Fireball or a Pyroblast, shoot a 2nd Fireball and then a Fire Blast. If the target isn’t dead yet you just Frost Nova, take a step back and make another Fireball+Fire Blast combo. Blast Wave and Dragon Breath will also become available at a later level and they can do the finishing touches as well.
Now why I didn’t take Improved Scorch is because you don’t use Scorch until you get the Hot Streak talent. Molten Shields, Fiery Payback and Blazing Speed are not necessary for leveling purposes. I did choose Impact (I know many Mages skip this one) because it’s nice for leveling. If you manage to use three or four Fire based spells before the mob reaches you, you have a 30-40% chance to stun the mob for two seconds before he even reaches you.
I took a bit of Frost because of the reduced mana cost of both Frost and Fire spells through the talent called Precision.
Another option, and my favorite, is to go Arcane+Fire which is a nice combination.
Mage Leveling Build: Fire/Arcane
This build has a mana preserving advantage because 60% of the regeneration continues while casting. You will also be surprised with the amount of critical hits you will get with this build which will also refund 30% of the spell’s costs. You will also have 10% more Spirit and 15% more Intellect. Arcane Concentration will allow about 10% of your spells to be cast free of costs.
This build will not give you AoE spells likes Blast Wave and Dragon Breath but will be mainly focused on Fireballs, Pyroblasts and Fire Blasts. Your Arcane Explosion will be boosted a bit so that is a good choice for AoE purposes. Presence of Mind and Arcane Power will give you two extra great abilities that will cause high burst damage when needed.
You can choose to go full Frost but especially in the first 30 levels you will be a lot worse of than the builds stated above. Shatter then becomes nice, and later you got Icy Veins, Water Elemental, Cold Snap etc. but the damage output of this build isn’t as high as compared to the ones above.

Everyone who has ever played World of Warcraft has looked for ways to level their characters faster. There are plenty of leveling guides on the market today, and most of them employ a combination of mob grinding and quest completion, but that technique just isn’t the fastest way to level any more. Now that Blizzard has added the dungeon finder, WoW players of all levels can experience the dungeon system starting from level 15.
Using the Dungeon Finder
The dungeon finder is a small, green button at the bottom of your interface. It’s toward the right side of the action bar at the bottom. It looks much like a green eye, and when you click on it, a dialogue box opens up and asks if you want to queue for a dungeon. Ninety percent of the time while you are dungeon leveling, you will choose to queue for a random dungeon. The only exception to this rule is when you have quests for a specific dungeon that you want to complete. Then you can select the dungeon from the drop-down box in the upper right corner of the dungeon finder box.
How the Dungeon Finder Works
The dungeon finder actually takes care of finding a group for you, and it uses players from all the servers in your server group. This means that you can still find a dungeon group if very few players are on your server at the moment.
Each player who’s queuing for a dungeon will have to select a role. Some classes are DPS classes only, but other classes may be able to choose to be a tank or a healer. If you are new to World of Warcraft, then you will definitely want to choose the DPS role. People who have been playing WoW for a while can queue as tanks or healers because these two roles are very specific. Tanks must learn how to control the mobs and keep all of their attention on them. Healers must learn to focus on the tank and heal other party members as needed.
Techniques for Dungeon Leveling
Different dungeon leveling techniques are needed for players of all three roles. Tanks and healers will have very short waits, if any, so they may be able to go all the way to level 85 just through dungeon leveling. However, they will Credit union location Texas Houston Baker Hughes Federal Credit Union still want to travel the map a bit to pick up some flight points, especially those in all of the capital cities for their faction.
The DPS classes will have a much longer wait time than tanks or healers. This is because so many players prefer to deal damage instead of having the responsibility of tanking or healing. DPS is known as a much easier role to play, so you have very few tanks and healers in relation to how many DPS you have. This longer wait time for the dungeon finder means that DPS players will want to work on solo quests while they are waiting for a dungeon. However, just remember to always keep the dungeon finder up and looking for a group while you quest.
