Farming Blood of Sargeras

Blood of Sargeras is a crafting material used in Legion to make 815 BOE gear.

You might be asking “Well, who uses this now?”

The answer is plenty! There are still players who utilize older BOE gear for leveling, transmogrify runs, or just nostalgia. You can even disenchant some of the gear for enchanting materials. We might be in Battle for Azeroth expansion moving on to a new chapter but it doesn’t mean some of the old forgotten techniques are useless either.

While you are working to unlock the races that you need for Legion, then you can also work to get the Blood of Sargeras. These are soulbound unless blizzard changes them and I just don’t know about that yet! You might not be able to sell the material itself, but you can sell what you craft with it.

How to Farm

There are a couple of different ways you can farm these. You get them as End of Zone quest rewards or through the big quest lines in Suramar. There are also professional crafter world quests or normal world quests which can reward you 5 Blood of Sargeras for completing those. If you get the Boon of the Bloodhunter enchantment you have a chance at obtaining the blood dungeons, raids, or mobs in Broken Isles.

Dungeons

Legion Dungeon & Bosses can also give you Blood of Sargeras. If you are level 120, you will not be able to queue up for these so you will have to find the dungeon you want to run and head there. Although at level 120, you should be able to complete this as a solo the dungeon but do not take my word for it. This completely depends on your own skill level, and you could always take a friend with you.

Herbalism

Herbalism is a great way of getting Blood of Sargeras. If you reach Rank 3 in the special flower, you have a chance at getting some with every pick you do! Special flowers are green, Anchor Weed. It’s rare and shares a spawn point with most other Legion plants, but I’ve mostly located it in Stormsong Valley. Though you have a chance at getting Bloods with all herbs you can pick, it raises with the special flower at rank 3.

Mining

Mining is another profession you can farm blood with. Usually from the special ore, every gathering profession has one green quality item you can get. Though like herbalism, all legion mining deposits have a chance it’s just higher with rank 3 on that special green quality item.
