Chains of Domination Patch 9.1 Announcement

At BlizzConline, Blizzard announced the next step in Shadowlands with a trailer. With Denathrius defeated, the maw still grows in power. Therefore, Chains of Domination will be the first major content update in Shadowlands, and players will get to see more of the Jailer’s domain.

Of course, we are still looking for the true nature of Jailer’s plans. In addition, there appears to be a new champion in The Jailer’s service. This one is an instrument of despair created by Sylvanas Windrunner. He is capable of instilling dread into Azeroth’s heroes.

The Jailer is looking for a key, and this key will fulfill his designs. He will pull a fragment of a long-lost domain into the Maw to find this key he is after. Meanwhile, we will get some new quests and outdoor activities in a new ancient city, Korthia, The City of Secrets.

Covenants

The covenants will strike back. The strength of the Kyrian, Night Fae, Necrolords, and Venthyr is restored. We will seek to unite the four covenants and attack the jailer in his home.

Sanctum of Domination

There will be a new 10-man raid. This is where you will even get to face Sylvanas herself and confront her for her crimes. Consequently, You will also run into the true eye of the jailer and turn the tide against the Tarragrue.

New Dungeon

There will be a new mega-dungeon, which will have 8 bosses. This dungeon will be a Mythic, named Tazavesh, The Veiled Market. It is set in a bazaar of the Mysterious Brokers, and doing high stakes heist to steal powerful artifact from Azeroth.

More Goodies

You will be able to gear up for raids, dungeons, and the next season of PVP with a seasonal mythic keystone dungeon that will be themed around the Jailer’s power. There will be new covenant armor sets that are cosmetic and every class can wear. The powers of your soulbinds and conduits will be able to get expanded. You will be able to add new mounts and pets, as well as unlock flying. Lastly, once players unlike flying will be given a mount that matches their covenant.
