Season of Mastery: Ahn’Qiraj War Effort Live
The great desert fortress of Ahn’Qiraj, long sealed behind the Scarab Wall, is home to the insectoid qiraji, a savage race set to mount an assault to devastate the continent of Kalimdor. But something far more sinister lurks behind Ahn’Qiraj’s walls: the Old God C’Thun, an ancient entity whose pervasive evil had suffused Azeroth since time immemorial.
The content update for the WoW Classic Season of Mastery is available worldwide as of today. The Ahn’qiraj War Effort bagan. Both factions must heed this call. You will undertake a quest to become a Scarab Lord to begin your journey.
There is a faster release cadence of Season of Mastery, so Blizzard made some adjustments to the War Effort.
The War Effort
- Half as many total resources as before are now required.
- Reduced the time until auto-completion of War Effort objectives begin.
- With this change, the gates of Ahn’Qiraj will open in all realms within a month of the event being initiated.
- The “Brood of Nozdormu” reputation reward from the repeatable quest “The Hand of the Righteous” has been doubled.
Prophecy of Chaos
When you venture into the Temple of Ahn’Qiraj, you will now encounter the Prophecy of Chaos. If you are in good standing with the Brodd of Nozdormu, you can undertake additional challenges within this temple. C’thun will also be restored to his original form, which will prove to be a much greater challenge than his original wow classic incarnation.
Join The War Effort
Supplies will be needed to fuel the war effort against the forces of Ahn’Qiraj. You will need to work with your other faction to open the gates and begin your siege. Both the Horde and the Alliance will need to bring supplies to the Valley of Spirits in Orgimmar or Military Ward in Irongforge. When you turn them in you will gain war effort supplies and commendation signets.
Supplies Necessary
You can obtain supplies as loot drops or purchase them from the Auction House, but having a profession that helps you can also come in handy. Some of the items you will need are:

There are also a couple of items that both factions can get for you. Copper Bar (Mining – 25), Purple Lotus (Herbalism – 210), Runecloth Bandage (First Aid – 260), Spotted Yellowtail (Cooking – 225), Thick Leather (Skinning/Leatherworking – 200).
